Instantly know a selected card

Effect:

The magician fans the cards out to a spectator and gets them to pick one (someone can even have their hand over the magicians eyes). Instantly the magician knows the card that has been selected.

This trick uses:

No gimmicks
No stooges
No trick decks
Nothing has to be written

You can instantly know the card.



Secret:

Sshhh here's the secret. The deck has to be set up into a certain order, this is called the master system. Each card in the deck is add 3 to the card before it. If the card on the bottom of the deck is a 6 then the one on top is a 9. Now the slightly tricky part, the suits, the suits are placed in an order of clubs, hearts, spades, diamonds, this can be remembered by using the word CHaSeD.

Let's recap now. If a card selected is the 8 of diamonds, 8 add 3 is 11 (jack) and CHaSeD after diamonds is clubs so the card will be the jack of clubs.


Order:

The order wants to be like this:

Ace of clubs, 4 of hearts, 7 of spades, 10 of diamonds, king of clubs, 3 of hearts, 6 of spades, 9 of diamonds, queen of clubs, 2 of hearts, 5 of spades, 8 of diamonds

And so on adding three to the previous card and using CHaSeD
