Criss Angel's Fork Bend!

THE EFFECT: You let a spectator examine a normal fork. When they are satisfied you take it back and shake it. Commanding the fork to bend the tips of the fork are seen to be bending. You then hand the bent fork back out for examination once more.
THE SECRET: You need to prepare the fork ahead of time. Take the fork and bend the two middle prongs back and forth several times until they're easy to bend. Finally reposition them so it looks like a normal fork.
After the spectator examines it you need to misdirect them for a few seconds so you can bend the two middle prongs back. Hold the fork between your pointer finger and thumb at the handle and start to shake the fork vigarously. That way the spectators will not see the fork is already bent!
After a few seconds begin to slow down while turning the fork to the side. You can make magical gestures with your free hand if you wish. This move will give the perfect illusion that the two prongs are actually bending in front of the spectators eyes!
TIP: Make sure your spectators are in front of you. If they're to the side then they will see the fork has already been bent.
TIP: Buy forks from a yard sale or thrift store. Don't use your actual forks at home!
