Card Mental Magic

THE EFFECT: A spectator names a card (no force) and you immediately remove a card from your pocket that proves to be the one selected by the assistant!


THE SECRET: When asked to name a card, a spectator will more often than not name the following:


1. The Queen of Hearts
2. The Ace of Spades
3. Nine of Diamonds
4. The Six of Clubs


Have these cards ready in different pockets and pull the correct one out after the spectator names it. Before the trick explain that you are only about 85% accurate on mental effects and this will give you some breathing room if the spectator does not pick one of the cards.


TIP: It will make another mental trick more effective by proving to the audience that even a great mentalist like you sometimes gets it wrong. You have to have a lot of guts to pull it off but if you do the effect is fantastic!

Yeah I like it, but I saw a magician who was really confident and said he did not have a deck of cards. The spectator was told to name a card. She said the 7 of spades and he removed it from his mouth. Does anyone know the secret?
