THE EFFECT: The magician spreads out his hands and then rises up six inches from the ground. The spectators can clearly see his two feet have lifted off the ground! No strings, people can be at the front and back of you and totally impromptu.


THE SECRET: You need a pair of hard rubber shoes. Make a hole in the sole of one of the shoes which is going to be your lifting foot as you do in the Balducci Levitation.


There should a 5mm cut out part in the shoe at the front and back. Don't use leather shoes as these will potentially bend when you make the hole.


Now, this trick needs a mastering of the Balducci Levitation. Gather at least four spectators two at the back and two at the front. Angles should be exactly like the angles in the Balducci Levitation.


The spectators at the front should be a little to the left but make sure they can see your two feet. Then spread your hands out and slip your toes out of the hole in the shoe which you have prepared, let's say the right one.


Now lift up with the help of your toes. After a few seconds float back down and slip your toes in the shoe. If you make the hole exactly as I have said it should be easy to slip your toes out and in. Then simply walk away!


TIP: Practice this with an assistant to get the angles correct.
